Here at the Peace Spiritual Center, we are committed to serving the Roanoke, Virginia, community in the universal search for inner and outer peace.
Along with groups devoted to meditation, we offer spiritual counseling to individuals, perform weddings, and have started a new program to assist individuals and families in the end-of-life transition. We also provide assistance in establishing a regular spiritual practice based on meditation and facilitation of retreats.
As humble members of the human family, we support and participate in the life of the local, national, and global communities. As citizens of the larger universe, we rejoice in the love, light, and life of the cosmos.

The Peace Spiritual Center can be characterized as a modern-day Gnostic group, referring to the knowledge of the Divine within. We view meditation as a spiritual activity, not just an exercise to develop concentration and quiet the mind. A meditation session is a spiritual service, beginning with relaxation, then proceeding into prayer in order to center oneself in the spiritual heart. Meditation then follows, taking many forms, or perhaps no-form, depending on the individual.
Because humanity worships such a diversity of Divine Beings under a variety of names, we choose the one manifestation of Deity common to all traditions, which is the Divine Mother. At the same time, we revere the wisdom of such spiritual figures as Jeshua (Jesus), Mohammed, Buddha, Shankara (Shiva), Krishna, Zoroaster, and others.
Through our practices, we offer God the Creator praise and gratitude for the incredible love and bounty continually bestowed upon the world and mankind. And we open our hearts and souls to the One Spirit that pervades all.
We have a special affinity with the teachings of Divine Mother as presented through such sources as
www.divinemotheronline.org out of Fairfield, Iowa. We are also currently reading from the amazing book
Love Without End by Glenda Green. We are also working with the teachings of Samael Aun Weor, Emmet Fox, Ernest Holmes, Papa Ramdas, the channeled material of Carla Rueckert (L/L Research), and material relating to "The Nine."
The Peace Spiritual Center also supports progressive economic initiatives such as local sustainability, organic farming and gardening, urban permaculture, worker and consumer-owned cooperatives, barter and local currency exchanges, etc.
