"Be the Love that you are."
Here at the Peace Spiritual Center, we are committed to serving the Roanoke, Virginia, community in the universal search for inner and outer peace.
Along with groups devoted to contemplative meditation, we offer spiritual counseling to individuals. This may include assistance in establishing a regular spiritual practice, guidance in meditation, and facilitation of retreats.
As humble members of the human family, we support and participate in the life of the local, national, and global communities. As citizens of the larger universe, we rejoice in the love, light, and life of the cosmos.
The Peace Spiritual Center can be characterized as a modern-day Gnostic group. We revere the wisdom of such spiritual figures as Jeshua (Jesus), Mohammed, Buddha, Krishna, Zoroaster, and the Indigenous Elders. We offer the Creator praise and gratitude for the incredible love and bounty continually bestowed upon the world and mankind. And we open our hearts and souls to the One Spirit that pervades all. Standing above all paths is the Christ, whose Presence today we call The Return of the Aeons.
We are currently reading from the amazing book Love Without End by Glenda Green based on her conversations with Jeshua in the 1990s when he appeared to her in her art studio in Texas. We are also working with the teachings of Samael Aun Weor, Black Elk, Ernest Holmes, Papa Ramdas, and the channeled material of Carla Rueckert (L/L Research) and material relating to the "Nine."
Wherever you may be on your spiritual path, at the Peace Spiritual Center you will find supportive friends and a wealth of opportunities for service and spiritual growth.
The Peace Spiritual Center is an independent non-sectarian institution not formally affiliated with any other organization.
Purpose of the Peace Spiritual Center
The purpose of the Peace Spiritual Center is to support and encourage people everywhere in their inner opening to oneness with the Creator.
Our work has one overriding objective: to help individuals move toward self-realization through awakening in the spiritual heart.
We conduct and participate in many programs and activities in addition to individual spiritual counseling.
One of these is the weekly group meditation meeting which now takes place every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at a location near Grandin Village.
We have also begun to conduct group meditation retreats. We suggest that anyone who wishes to attend a retreat come to at least one of the Thursday open meditations to get a sense of what we are offering.
The Peace Spiritual Center also supports progressive economic initiatives such as local sustainability, organic farming and gardening, urban permaculture, worker and consumer-owned cooperatives, barter and local currency exchanges, etc.
We also take cognizance of the prophecies in many traditions of the "end of the age" and a new era of human consciousness. While no one is quite sure what this means, there can be no better way to prepare than through spiritual practice.
